Hello!!

They say - Help without any expectations.

 I try to follow it in my life as much as possible. 

My organization conducts CSR activities and ask for nominations to volunteer. Being happy to volunteer, I nominated and got selected.

On the day of the CSR event, we went to the designated place and conducted the activity. The group of volunteers, the CSR activity and the flow of events, all went well.

Post the event, we were just waiting for the cab as it was pouring heavily.

One of us (volunteers) walked up to me and greeted me by my name. I reciprocated, didn't know his name though.

Then he continued, " I joined this organization in 2022 and have recently completed 2 years here."

At this point, I wasn't sure how that piece of information was relevant to me.

He then elaborated further, when he got offered by our organization, he was a fresher just out of college and had a few other offers as well. He had connected with me through LinkedIn to get my opinion about the organization and my view on how beneficial it could be for his career as a fresher.

He mentioned that correspondence played a pivotal role in helping him to choose our organization. He said he had never met me before and this is how we met in person for the first time.

This small interaction made my day. I was happy that I was able to help someone in a way that they remembered and could correlate even after 2 years or maybe more!!
